Release and Indemnity Agreement

I state that I wish to participate in activities offered by the Boeing Employees Rifle and Pistol Club, (hereinafter referred to as "Rifle and Pistol Club") a Boeing Recreation Club.

I RECOGNIZE THAT ANY RIFLE AND PISTOL CLUB ACTIVITIES MAY INVOLVE CERTAIN DANGERS. I certify that I am aware of all the obvious and inherent dangers of rifle and pistol activities, including but not limited to, misuse of firearms, malfunction of firearms, of equipment, improper handling of firearms, inexperience, accidents of illness in areas without medical facilities, and the actions of any other club members, any participants or any other persons all of which may result in personal injury, death, property damage and other losses. The Rifle and Pistol Club is a non-profit corporation registered in the state of Washington and all dues and donations are non-refundable.

In consideration for the right to participate in the Rifle and Pistol Club activities, I HEREBY RELEASE THE RIFLE AND PISTOL CLUB AND ITS INSTRUCTORS AND MEMBERS, AND THE BOEING COMPANY FROM ANY AND ALL LIABILITY, CLAIMS AND CAUSES OF THE ACTION ARISING OUT OF OR IN ANY WAY CONNECTED WITH MY PARTICIPATION IN ANY RIFLE AND PISTOL CLUB ACTIVITIES. I PERSONALLY ASSUME ALL RISKS IN CONNECTION WITH THESE ACTIVITIES, AND FURTHER AGREE TO INDEMNIFY THE RIFLE AND PISTOL CLUB AND ITS INSTRUCTORS AND MEMBERS, AND THE BOEING COMPANY FROM ALL LIABILITY, CLAIMS AND CAUSES OF ACTION WHICH I MAY HAVE ARISING FROM MY PARTICIPATION IN CLUB ACTIVITIES. The terms of this agreement will serve as a release and indemnity agreement for my heirs, personal representative, and for all members of my family, including any minors.

I further state that I am eighteen (18) years of age or older and legally competent to sign this release, that I understand these terms are contractual and a mere recital, and that I have signed this document as my own free act. (Parents or legal guardians must sign for all persons under eighteen (18) years of age.)

I HAVE FULLY INFORMED MYSELF OF THE CONTENTS OF THIS RELEASE AND INDEMNIFY BY READING IT BEFORE I SIGNED IT.
Everyone over 18 years of age must sign, date and print name on the release. Applicants must sign and submit a current Release & Indemnity Agreement.

Qualifications for membership in the Boeing Employee Rifle and Pistol Club (BER&PC)

Club membership is limited to current or Boeing retirees, Boeing contractors, customer representatives, and Government agency resident representatives and their immediate family members. Some former Boeing employees may also be associate members - READ BELOW

. There are four types of membership.

There are four types of membership in the Boeing Employee Rifle and Pistol club: Regular, Associate, retired (from Boeing) and Family membership.

A regular membership is for one adult who is a current employee of the Boeing Company, a Boeing Contractor, a customer representative, or a Government agency resident representative.
A retired membership is for one adult who was an employee of the Boeing Company, has retired from the Boeing Company, and now receives monetary retirement compensation from the Boeing Comany.

Former Boeing Employees.

Former Boeing employees who were active members in the Boeing Employee Rifle and Pistol Club at the time they left the company may be associate members.
Former employee defined as individuals (other than retirees) who voluntarily terminated their employment or individuals who were previously employed by the company and terminated due to a reduction in force.
Additionally, former employees must have been employed by the company and been active members of the club for which they are seeking associate membership for a minimum of 3 consecutive years immediately prior to their application for associate membership.
Former employees must provide evidence of their termination status such as a copy of their resignation letter or a copy of their reduction in force notice, prior to approval of their associate membership.

An associate membership is for one person.

Associate members cannot sponsor an immediate family member for associate membership.
An Associate member may not hold office.
By signing the application for membership form, Associate members agree in to comply with all rules, bylaws, and standards established for the safety and well being of the club members and all other Boeing Employees.
Associate members who violate safety or conduct rules established by the Recreation Department may have their membership revoked by a majority vote of the board of directors of the Boeing Employee Rifle and Pistol club or by the Boeing manager responsible for the recreation program. No terminated member shall be eligible for reinstatement of his or her membership.

Family membership is for two adults plus dependents.

A family membership is limited to one primary member who is a member of the Boeing Employee Rifle and Pistol club plus a spouse or domestic partner (two adults total) plus immediate family members who have not yet reached 18 years of age by January 1st of the membership year.

Immediate family members who are 18 years of age or older on January first of the membership year can become associate members by filling out their own application for associate membership and sending in their own check.

Example: You are a Boeing employee. You have a family membership so your wife and 15 year old son can come to the range and shoot with you. Your daughter is 19 and wants to come to the range and shoot also. Your daughter must fill out her own application to be an associate member and send in her own check. Your son who is 15 years old does not need to sign the release form on page two, but both you and your wife need to sign the application form you send in for family membership. All three names covered by your family application (yours, your wife, and your 15 year old son) must be clearly printed as they appear on photo ID on the right hand side of the signature block on page two your family application.

What is an Immediate family member?
- Immediate family member is defined to include parents, brothers, sisters, or children/stepchildren (younger than 25 years of age) of employees or retirees.
- Spouses, domestic partners and dependent children (younger than 25 years of age) of immediate family members are eligible as well.
- All children must be listed in the right hand side of the signature block on the prior page in order to receive a yellow card.
- Both adults must sign on the left hand side of the signature block on page two of the application.
NRA membership is required for membership in the BER&PC

BER&PC is a National Rifle Association (NRA) chartered Club and NRA membership is required for all Regular, Associate, and the primary member of a family membership in accordance with official BER&PC policy.
First-time annual NRA memberships can be obtained for $25 through Dillon Precision Products, Inc. as indicated on Club Application forms (also applies to applicants with a 2 year break in their NRA membership).
