Aimpoint, Monroe, WA
Albany Rifle and Pistol Club, Albany, OR - has regularly
scheduled Full Auto Shoots that are open to the public (2nd Sunday of the
month). Lawful dealers and owners of NFA weapons bring them to the range on
scheduled shoot days, and offer opportunity to the public to shoot them. Typical
firing line has temporary, roped off tables set up just behind the firing line
where the vendors put their weapons. The shooting public walks behind the ropes,
and alerts the owner of the table that he'd like to shoot their weapon. The two
of them work the deal (typically $10 for a magazine full), then the owner
accompanies the shooter to the front of the table (firing line) and stands next
to the shooter while he shoots. Albany

Clark Rifles, Vancouver, Washington - CBA The club
is located between Battle Ground and Vancouver, then east. It's on the ridge for
a backwater river to the Columbia. There is a sign for the club on the corner at
the last turn off to the east. I'd leave at 5:30 AM, stop in Chehalis for
breakfast and get there at 8:30 to set up when I lived in Auburn. Matches start
at 9:00 AM (8:00 AM set-up / prepare time). There is a warm-up match to allow
the competitors to confirm their sights, get used to range wind conditions, etc.
at each range. Sometimes the range will start at 200 yards and move back to 100
yards, you need to record your sight settings for each range. The club has
coffee and usually brownies, provide your own lunch for either a lunch break or
between relays. Bill Anderson is now match director, I'll have to get his phone
number and address.

Emerald Empire Gun Club, Springfield Oregon - located
East and North of Springfield, about a thirty minute drive. I (Claris E. Hyett

for the Fall matches is home games for the University football team. You'll need
to stay at least 60 miles away to find a room if you do not reserve two months
in advance. Directions: From I-5 take exit 194A to I-105 East (Hwy.
126) to the 42nd Street exit. Turn left on 42nd and go North 1/2 mile to Marcola
Road. Turn Right on Marcola Road and go approximately 6.7 miles. Turn left on
Hill Road at the Mohawk Community Church for 1 block, and then turn right at the
Mohawk Store for 1/2 mile, then left on McGowan Creek Road (at the crest of a
short hill and a bad spot, watch for oncoming traffic), for 1 1/2 miles to the
range. Signs are posted to help. CBA Matches start at 9:00 AM (8:00
AM set-up / prepare time). There is a warm-up match to allow the competitors to
confirm their sights, get used to range wind conditions, etc. at each range.
Sometimes the range will start at 200 yards and move back to 100 yards, you need
to record your sight settings for each range. ASSRA Chauncey Roe is
match director, the matches are announced in the back of the ASSRA magazine. The
range and setup is the same, there are several members who belong to both clubs
and shoot both matches.
