The family line developed here is laid out in a 33 page document
in Norwegian by Anton Tøsti and received in 2017 through
Tore Maagaard, a resident of Vallset, Romedal, Nor. .
Much of the initial contemporary records I have checked and
verified. I do not know the source of these records which
may have come from very early parish records. These are
particularly fragile and difficult to read. and may not have been
digitized and digital records only go back to 1771. They
may have been used to establish a bygdabok farm history that held
some of these families. I'm still trying to confirm that is
the case.
Like other families in Norway Paul Alfsen is born probably on a farm on which his family worked. Skramstadeie is a small building on the Skramstad farm. He is said to have died on the Skårås farm which may be associated with the Skramstad farm. Another interesting issue is that I have had a DNA connection to a person with a Skårås name which is also the name of a farm as part of their name. So far I have not been able to make a genealogy connection of this individual to our line but it seems very plausible and I will continue fill in the puzzle.

is born to Povel Alfsen and Marta Nielsdtr. They may be
living on a nearby farm but the birth is registered in Løten
parish.
