Vol. 1, 2,
and 3 The First Two Hundred Years of Brashears in
America, (of
eight proposed volumes) Charles Brashear/Shirley McCoy
1998
I generally don't
advertise on my pages for anyone. Charles Brashear is an
exception. He
has been researching the Brashear lines for thirty years is
developing
quite a chronicle on the Brashear/Brasseiur/etc. of America.
He's gone
back through all of the evidence on the families and
reconstituted a
number of Brashear families and added others trying to account
for all
the Brashears discovered. Volume 1 is 336 pages and covers
mainly the
families from 1635 to 1835 in Maryland. He took over the work
of Col.
Robert Neville Mann published in 1969 and he is proposing to
do a total
of eight volumes. He is working on all of them at one time. I
highly
recommend this volume and look forward to the other volumes in
the
works. Volume 2 is on Robert C. Brashear of North Carolina
and some
Descendants in TN, KY, MO, TX, etc. . The documentation
on
Cheryl's more contemporary ancestors uses some of this
material.
Please order it directly from Charles
Brashear
for $35 hardcover or $25 paperback. Add $3 shipping and handling
(Cal.
residents will have to add 7.75% sales tax). He said he will
give a
discount price of $25 for a hardback copy donated to a library.
Make
direct arrangements with him for shipping and transfer of funds.
