Abt 1586 England- Thomas Sherwood is Christened.
The records that are used to define this family are very confusing
and have great discrepencies. The LDS files which are used by the bulk
of the researchers list the Christening date before he was born, I have
reversed these dates to make more sense but I have not seen the actual
records to verify the facts. Some list Thomas with as many as four
wives but the marriage and birth orders don't fit the possible dates.
Even though the Thomas Sherwoods are proved related I still have not
been able to tie Philip Sherwood to this family with any documentary
proof.
1625-Thomas Sherwood is listed
Unfortunately, this particular Thomas Sherwood is listed as "Dead"
in Warryscoak, Virginia. 1624-25. [Boddie p. 84]
1634- Thomas Sherwood takes a ship with his wife to the colonies from Ipswich, England on the ship Francis.
These p'sons aboue named tooke the Oath of Allegance and Supremacy at his Ma'tes Custome house in Ipswich before vs his Muties Officers according to the order of the Lords and others of his Ma'ties most honable Privy Coucell the xijth of Nouember 1634.
