#interview with Ida May Terry Andrea, 1943, "Terry Historian,"

Charles was born in 1804 in Greenville District of South Carolina. Charles Terry and Gaston Terry were brothers and of English descent. Charles along with his brother Gaston Terry "removed to the lower Greenville County. Charles Terry built Cedar Lane Plantation house and his son, John Terry was born there more than 90 Years ago.... Mrs. Andrea thinks that both Gaston Terry and his brother, Charles Terry died before the War Between the States ... Charles and Gaston Terry also had other brothers and sisters, whom Mrs. Andrea has promised to secure a list of them for me."
