The research here was done by Cora Christofferson from Danish church records. Since Denmark was one of the last areas of Europe to adopt catholicism, the records of births and death are limited only to the time beginning with these church records. These churches later became Lutheran. Most of these records are maintained in local archives and were microfilmed by the LDS. We still have an incomplete history of this family and I look forward to information that can complete the lists of the children. There is some discrepancy of dates but I think this is right family in the following census.
From the Thaggard Family records translated by Google Translate
from Danish:
1483 mentioned Thagaard in Humlum parish the first time, when named Tagvad, when the nobleman Hans Olufsen Galskyt of Trabjerggaard in Gudum parish gave Tagvad to Gudum monastery for a farm south of Trabjerggaard. However, the bishop objected to the change of power, so King Hans commanded in 1492 that Hans Olufsen Galskyt would give the monastery another mill. The case ended that Hans Olufsen Galskyt would give Tagvad and 100 marks of luxury to Gudum Monastery for his new farm.
1495 declared a parish that the brook that goes from Tagvad Place to Bassidal is a real divide between Tagvadgaard and the sphere Ove Runge lived in, and that the man who goes from Tagvad to Syendskjær (Sundskjær) was the right brand of Tagvad , and outside the dike are common to Tagvad and drift to Vesterby.
In 1536 after the Reformation, Tagvad went to the king, and later it was laid out for calvary goods. (krongods, which was assigned to the national calvary regiment by the Chr. V army directive, and divided into 12 (rider) districts around 1720, but gradually repealed or abolished pursuant to Resolution 15/8 1763)
In 1682, Christian Juul, the founder of Rysensteen, Humlum church church and the church's landslide, 22 barrels of grain, against Hygom church-killing and the church's earthquake on 45½ barrels of grain grains changed. Christian Juul had to pay 550 rigsdaler above. The earth's guilt of the church and the tithes of the church in Humlum, which the king took over, included "Togved, Tagenskouf, Stoerlund, Londerlund, Skidensig, Avindtsberg and Brenholt".
