Dept of Archives, Jackson, MS.]

"In his will he lists his children by his
first marriage. Unknown wife at this time. George and Jane
Porter were only in Ark for a few months before he died. His
death notice was in the Franklin Co. MS paper. Jane lived in Ark
(Chicot Co.) I believe until her death. After James L died,
William Lee moved his family to AR. He also probably died
there."
