I have no further information on this family.  This area presently is a major tourist destination for Norwegians from Oslo and regions south.  The river affords good fishing and wonderful views of the valley.  It also contains part of Norway's first national park.

The listed relatives seem to have stayed in the area for a couple of hundred years.  They may have been involved in farming and logging.  In the early years the river could have provided easy transportation of logs to the south end of Lake Mjøsa at Minnesund, nearly 174 kilometers.

The date of the death of Haldor corresponds with the onset of the Black Plague in Norway which hit Europe beginning in 1346 and through 1353.  It came into Norway probably through ships off-loading in Oslo.  It is estimated to have killed 1/3 to 1/2 of the population of Norway.   Cities were particularly hard hit but fleeing from the city infected the villages.   Whole villages and farms were left abandoned.  Buildings fell into ruin without constant maintenance.

1341, April 2 - Hallador Gudbrandsen sold a farm that shows in a later court proceeding along with his apparent uncle, Alv Finnsen.  There is also a mention of Gudbrand Sigurdsen and Valgerd Finnsdatter

Although the church in the distance is quite the landmark, this particular church was not built until 1792.  The previous church was probably a stave church such as seen in Lom
